Ideally yes — being present lets us discuss your vision in detail and walk through the site together. However, for straightforward exterior work, we can sometimes do a drive-by assessment with photos and follow up with a call. Just let us know your situation.

The more detail you can share, the better. Helpful things to have ready: a description of the project, approximate size or scope, your address, and any photos you've taken. Don't worry if you don't have everything — we'll gather what we need during our conversation.

For most projects, we do require a deposit before material purchases are made. The amount and payment schedule will be clearly outlined in your written estimate. We never surprise you with fees not listed in your agreement.

For many common projects — steps, tuckpointing, small walls — we can often provide a ballpark range over the phone or via photos. For custom or complex work, an on-site visit is necessary for an accurate quote. Call us and we'll let you know which applies to your project.
